Since 1985, the BC School of Art Therapy has offered both a Post-Bachelor's Diploma and a Post-Master's Certificate in Clinical Art Therapy.
NEW: The BC School of Art Therapy is pleased to present the Post-Bachelors Diploma and Post-Masters Certificate Programs in concentrated weekend intensives for those students who cannot attend during weekdays. These programs have been developed to accommodate the scheduling needs of working professionals. The new intensive programs will be extended over three to four years, with courses offered in monthly segments on weekends. Included will be 2-one week intensives in the first two years. The programs replicate the academic curriculum offered by the BCSAT and include theoretical study, experiential studios, practicurn training, and a thesis for diploma students. The BCSAT also offers short courses for professional and personal development open to the public throughout the year.
As well, the BCSAT has implemented the following art therapy programs in Victoria: an Open Studio, Artist-in-Residence, Art Drop-in and Retail. Many of our graduates are employed in these programs and agency services throughout the community.
Should you be accepted as a classified student, upon formal application, the short courses you have completed will be honored as elective credits.
